Roof Survey and Condition Assessment
Proactive management of roof assets often starts with an overall assessment of the roof system. Visual observations identify roof features and deficiencies, if any. Historical information may include construction documents like plans and specifications, building permit records, warranty documents, leak reports, and repair records. The typical report includes a roof plan drawing or aerial photograph, a narrative description of each roof area, photographic documentation of observations, and table to summarize anticipated roof replacement priorities, budgets and timing. For most owners, the goal is to understand what they have, what problems exist, if any, and what repairs or improvements are required.
